Boyce Brannock
Born, bred and educated in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Boyce Brannock hails from somewhere deep in its Great Valley. Should you ask what sparked his interest in wine, you’d best take note to what is in his glass. If a ponderous Bordeaux occupies that space, you’ll likely hear a tale of how his Jeffersonian bent naturally lead him to wine as well as fine foods, law, history and neoclassical design. However, if that glass hints of California Pinot Noir, prepare yourself for a tale of flatfoot’n at the Galax Fiddler’s Convention and how a sip of brew left him with a sense that “there must be something better out there” and his subsequent search for it which began with a pilfered bottle of California Cabernet. And while that search lead to wines far and wide, all his hopes begin and end with Virginia and its upstart farm wineries.
